17th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2018)

The 17th International Conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AIxIA 2018) will take place in Trento, Italy, from 20 November to 23 November 2018. It will be hosted by the Fondazione Bruno Kessler and the Department of Computer Science, University of Trento.

The conference covers broadly the many aspects of theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence. A series of workshops and tutorials dedicated to specific topics will complement the main conference program. AIxIA 2018 publishes work on original and unpublished research across all areas of AI, including (but not limited to) traditional topics such as machine learning, search, planning, knowledge representation, reasoning, constraint satisfaction, natural language processing, robotics and perception, and multiagent systems. We encourage all types of contributions including theoretical, engineering and applied. Papers on AI techniques in the context of novel application domains, such as security, sustainability, health care, transportation, and commerce are also welcome.

As in previous editions, AIxIA 2018 will host internationally renewed keynote speakers. At this time, we have confirmed the participation of the following keynote lectures:
– Lise Getoor, University of California Santa Cruz, USA;
– Malik Ghallab, LAAS CNRS, France.

The proceedings will be published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. Authors of selected papers accepted to the main track will be invited to submit an extended version for publication on “Intelligenza Artificiale“, the International Journal of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, edited by IOS Press and indexed by Thomson Reuters’ “Emerging Sources Citation Index”. From the accepted submissions, we will be selecting two award winners: the Best Student Paper Award and the Best Paper Award.
