The main objective of this working group is to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in intelligent robotic systems characterized by a proper combination of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence techniques. AI principles and methods play a crucial role in several areas of Robotics research (field, service, social robotics, etc.) and are pervasively exploited at various levels of robot architectures, the aim of AIRO is to consolidate the Italian community working on these topics.

The members of the working group meet periodically during AIxIA events with the organization of a workshop where several contributions at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics are discussed.
